VISALIA - 559 Fights will return to the Visalia Convention Center to kick off 2025, with two championship titles on the line at 559 Fights 111.
“This is an exciting start to our 2025 season,” 559 Fights CEO Jeremy Luchau said. “We finished 2024 with our biggest show of the year, and now we are offering another exciting event for Central Valley MMA fans.”
In the main event, the 559 Fights Flyweight gold will be up for grabs as it’s a crosstown matchup between Fresno’s top flyweights, as Johnny Reyes (3-1) fights Sajin Zacarias (3-0).
“Flyweights is our thing at 559 Fights,” Luchau said. “I would put our 125-pounders up against any in the state. This is another testament to how deep this weight class is.”
In the co-main event, the first ever 559 Fights Super Lightweight Championship will be on the line as Madera’s Chris Chapa (3-1) makes his return to the cage as he takes on Visalia’s Tyler Saelee (4-2) in the 165-pound bout.
“We have some new weight classes we are featuring this year,” Luchau said. “This Super Lightweight title is something we’ve been looking forward to for a bit. It’s going to give the athletes other avenues outside of cutting extreme amounts of weight.”
In the feature bout of the evening, Porterville’s Oscar Pacheco looks to make it three wins in a row as he takes on Bakersfield’s German Taboada (2-1) in a pivotal featherweight showdown.
“This is a fun fight for a lot of reasons,” Luchau said. “Most importantly it will help to shape the landscape of the featherweight division moving later into this year.”
